This DVD clip is from a collection of old and damaged films spliced together many years ago. The hour long 'standard 8' film was converted to DVD, re edited to correct the sequence, remove the parts which were too light to see anything and add a voiceover.
The baby in this clip is now 45 and his mother (65) did a brilliant job on the voiceover whilst watching the silent DVD on her TV at home (with her noisy budgie for company).
A voiceover really brings silent films to life and gives the viewer additional knowledge about dates, places and people etc.
